Flowers smell like chocolate? Yes indeed! Specific species of flowers such as cosmos (大波斯菊) or sweet pea (碗豆花) are chocolate scented.

Daffodils (水仙花) and tulips (鬱金香) are popular flowers especially during the Chinese New Year. They do not get along well though. Try NOT putting them together as daffodil sap is toxic to tulips.

Hydrangeas’ (繡球花) soil determines it flower color, meaning that its color will change according to the acidity of the soil. If the soil is too alkaline, it will result in pink Hydrangeas.

As reflected in its name in Chinese, Broccoli (西蘭花) is a flower. Broccoli is harvested before the flower buds fully open so often we treat it as vegetable.

Tulips (鬱金香) is a fast growing baby. Tulips grow quickly once they have water source and their heads track the light movement.

Flowers and fruits are not good friends, better keep them away from each other. You can’t see it but fruit gives off ethylene gas, which will make the flowers deteriorate more quickly
